The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is one of our favorite non-profits. Its mission is simple but its solution is complex and vast. When our troops are fighting overseas they often face an onslaught of danger from enemy combatants, roadside IED’s and cowardly suicide bombers. Many are permanently injured both physically and mentally.

Netting Nations

Netting Nations is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to combat the global spread of malaria through the purchase and distribution insecticide-treated mosquito nets (ITNs).

ITNs are the most cost-effective method of preventing the spread of malaria, which kills between 1 and 2 million men, women and children world-wide each year — 90% of those deaths occurring in sub-Sahara Africa where a child dies every 30 seconds, and the equivalent of 7 jumbo jets full of children die each day. Americans are as a people enormously generous, particularly when a good cause is involved. St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility. Discoveries made here have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. With research and patient care under one roof, St. Jude is where some of today’s most gifted researchers are able to do science more quickly.
